Kathy Chi, B. Sc, Dip. Ed - Business Manager
I have business experience in IT and Education industry. I have been working in Early Childhood since 2003 and established Chuchu Train Educare Ltd in 2011 to manage my first centre. I have a deep understanding of a number of philosophies and pedagogies in Early Childhood and have successfully maintained positive relationships with the owners, teacher and families. My team and I manage several profitable Centres, and I love to share my experiences and knowledge with others to enable them to operate their own high quality and profitable centre.
Maxine Bannan, Bachelors Degree ECE - General Manager
Maxine has been an early childhood teacher for the past 30 years and has worked in a variety of teaching and management roles both in the community and corporate ECE sectors.
Maxine enjoys building relationships with people, supporting teachers and managers growth, knowledge and understanding of ECE in New Zealand.
Heather Skelton, MA(Hons), Dip. Tch, Dip Ed, Grad Dip Tch (ECE) - Curriculum Manager
Heather is a strong and committed advocate for high quality care and learning opportunities for all Preschool children. She has taught in Mainstream, Reggio and Montessori environments. Heather has worked alongside Kathy for the last 5 years in the role of Curriculum Manager, providing ongoing support and guidance for teachers, providing professional development workshops and resources, and reviewing documentation for quality control. Heather owns a Montessori Preschool with Kathy. This has given her another perspective as an owner and she is enthusiastic about sharing her experience with others and to add value to their Preschools for the benefit of children, families, teachers and owners alike.
Pamela Cawley, Dip. Ed (ECE) - Area Manager
Pam has been in childcare since 1995, during which time she has owned and operated several centres. Pam graduated with her diploma in 2007. She is passionate about providing children with experiences that are safe, and challenging so that they continue to grow into competent, confident citizens of the world.
Christine Wu, MBA, Grad Dip. Ed (ECE) - Area Manager
Christine completed her MBA in 1997 and worked as a Manager in the Telecommunication industry. She has always wanted to be engage in young children’s life in a meaningful way, so she attended the University of Auckland in 2007 and obtained a Graduate Diploma in Early childhood Education. Christine has been working in early childhood education sector for over 10 years and was a supervisor at a zero to five year old centre for a few years.
Julia Hung, B. MusEd, Grad Dip. Ed (ECE) - Area Manager
Julia has a Bachelor of Music Education and Graduate Diploma in Teaching in Early Childhood Education. Julia tutored piano for ten years, has eight years of ECE experience, and enjoys working with children immensely. She currently manages a centre in Mt Eden and overseas all aspects of Centre operation.
Anna Chiu, B. Ed (Tchg) - Area Manager
Anna is a qualified ECE teacher. She has been working in the ECE sector for 8 years. Her role is a teacher, administrator and manager. She currently manages a centre in Remuera and looks after enrolments and funding applications for several Centres. Her interests are music and movies as well as looking after children.
Alana Zohs, 3rd year Student of B. Ed (Tchg) - Area Manager
Alana has worked in the Early Childhood Education sector for the past 14 years, undertaking a variety of different tasks such as payroll, IRD filing, data entry, budgeting and accounts. She has assisted in opening several new centres and has experience working with different agencies such as Auckland Council, Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education as part of the licensing process. In July, Alana will begin her final year of the Bachelor of Teaching (ECE). Her current role is Centre Manager at a Montessori Preschool.
Kay Chao, B. Ed (Tchg) - Systems Manager
Kay has a Bachelor of Education (Teaching) from the University of Auckland. She has worked as a journalist and taught children from the age of 2 to 12 in New Zealand and overseas. Kay is a thorough and detailed organiser of systems and resources. She reviews all documentation from MoE and Educational sources ensuring all of our Centres are up to date and have access to best practice.
Anita Hsu, Accounts assistant
Anita has had 4 experience in working in the education field with administration/accounts, Anita looks after all of our accounts payable and receivable and has an eye for detail. When not organizing us at the office Anita enjoys spending time with her family.
